A Safe Lives accredited Young People’s Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (YP IDVA) for young people experiencing abusive relationships.

Support with social care and school
Support through the Criminal and Civil Justice System
Advocacy
Housing
Help for young people who are in recovery from abusive relationships. This includes one-to-one support covering:
Self-esteem
Education on healthy relationships
Coping strategies for mental health
Establishing boundaries and assertiveness
Help to understand the impact of trauma
Confidence
A school-based prevention programme delivering class workshops on health relationships and the warning signs of controlling and abusive behaviour. These can be both one-off sessions or as part of a longer programme. The programme and content is tailored for the different Key Stages.
Awareness training for professionals and teachers/support staff.
